The highlight of the weekend, the Street Faire, is held at 20th & K Streets in Midtown Sacramento. The streets are closed in a on-block radius surrounding 20th & K, with gates at 20th & L Streets (Gate A). 20th & J Streets (Gate B) 21st & K Streets (Gate C) and the railroad tracks on K Street before 19th (Gate D). Each gate area collects the $10 entry fee and distributes programs. Note that Gate D is open limited hours. It's a logistic gate for entertainers and Rainbow Staff only most of the day.

The Main Stage is located at the intersection of 20th & K streets and will be the central hub of the fairs live entertainment. You can expect an incredible lineup  of some of Northern California's best entertainment along with International Recording stars.. 

Vendor booths are located along each of the streets, as well as in the parking lots with a Food Court in the parking lot between The Gay & Lesbian Center & ROK. Security, Police & Medical facilities are located in the food court.

The Street Fair is open to all ages. FACES, The Depot, Badlands and Club21 are all 21+ only venues (Club21 is all ages during the day while the restaurant is open). Headhunters & Hot Rods are all-ages venues including restaurants.

Sunday, August 31st, 2008 - Rainbow Festival Street Fair

The main event: Rainbow Festival Street Fair will run from 10am to 6pm this year! The morning will start off with opening ceremony followed by a selection of dignitaries speaking from all over California.

This year's main stage is located at the heart of 20th & K streets in front of the train tracks next to Restaurant on K; a familiar location for our many regulars.

Live entertainment and music fills the air during the fair. No Rainbow Festival would be complete without our headline entertainment.. featuring performances by International Recording Stars Inaya Day and Brenda K.  Many great local acts featuring Rendezvous, Taryn, & Danielle and, great regional acts such as the ever energetic Cheer S.F. throughout the day and much more!

Bring your bathing suit.. the pool is open at Faces if you need a splash to cool down, or just want to work on that tan while sipping a cool beverage from the bar. (You must be 21 & older to enter Faces)

There will a food court located between the Sacramento Gay & Lesbian Center & Restaurant on K (ROK), and vendor booths up and down 20th and K Streets.
